Week 7 - Pictures for Emerson

I was standing in the street outside my flat talking to the locals the other lunchtime. Emerson went past on the back of a Vespa – the way he does. Then stopped and came back to talk. Emerson is an American who’s lived here for probably 20 years, he’s inspired many "projects" including ZIFF. He said he had been impressed with my photographs and hoped I would be happy to donate some to form the basis for a ZIFF photo library. He also told me that the new tourist office was wanting to produce a brochure emphasizing "culture" (rather than hotels and snorkels). If I had photos they could use they would pay me – though probably not a lot. I asked if there was any theme, style, or shape that the pictures would have to fit in with. Apparently portrait/landscape didn’t matter at all but it was going to have a "blue-ish" colour theme so any photos strong in blue would be good. Now I don’t usually ask myself "will this picture have a strong blue?" but it’s proved to be an amusing if not interesting challenge.
