  Displaced People What Next? #179

Only a few more weeks to go now: Exams are at the beginning of June, but I anticipate class numbers to tail off 2-3 weeks before. Class discussions have been fun but without a clear structure, or measurable performance it is getting a bit wearisome.

Who knows what I shall find to do next. If I do decide to stay in Africa then I'd better come home and sort out my house. This probably means doing something sensible with the valuable things and renting it out furnished. At least then one day when I am wrinkly and hungry I can sell it and buy a pension? In the meantime I wonder about being sensible, and the cost of storage. Ho hum, the joys of being lazy, and non-conforming. At least I get a swim in the Nile most days!

You know it's time to go when:

You leave your freshly cut toe-nails carelessly strewn across the floor because you know that by the time you return with a dustpan and brush the ants would have carried them away.

You're sitting outside at a dinner party. It rains for the first time in nine months and no one moves.

My ripped kanga will cost US$7 to replace but I rather wait a month for Zanzibar where it will only cost US$2
