Broke my coffee jug. This is very sad and anoying... In my dozy state of first waking I put cold water in the jug, but forgot to pour it into the machine's reservoir before putting the jug on the hotplate. After a few minutes there was an awful crack and I realised immediately (but obviously too late) what had happened. Spent Saturday morning wondering up and down Daranjani street asking for "spares"... best I could do was a new coffee machine for $20. I'm "coping" for the moment with a tea strainer.
