Later, I met up with Angus, Skye and Eleanor. Eleanor was feeling worse: malaria "mumkin" (possibly), so persuaded her to go for a test. We had an interesting evening of test tubes, methylated-spirit burners, hand-turned centrifuges and microscope slides. It reminded us of our school chemistry lessons. By bedtime she had seen a doctor, got a prescription and collected some drugs from the pharmacy; the result: malaria 0, amoebic dysentery 1.
