The prospect of a Canadian girlfriend has melted away, just when I was beginning to lower that guard that stops one from getting hurt. I wouldn't question her decision but it still hurts when you hear it's been made. In a moment of disappointment I may have upset her and now she not talking to me - which at least means I don't have to answer 50 questions before rubbing the sleep from my eyes in the mornings, but it's not so good when we're sharing a flat. Never mind, there are plenty more crocodiles in the Nile!
