Wed 9 Mar For some reason it has been in the diary for several weeks. Today is the day that Cleo has agreed to come with me in search of a large camel market 20km out of town. In the event Margie comes too. We catch a bus to souq Libya and then I lead them through a maze of market stalls to a different bus park for our onward connection to Mawaylee. In my mind I expect to see the countryside - any moment - but we never really lose site of the sprawling walled yards of Omdurman's outer outskirts. In fact the market is far more functional than quaint though we do see some interesting characters and get some nice photos.
