Ful by Moonlight Teaching in Khartoum

My "honeymoon" period has just finished. I had my first class on Thursday; it went well. We did Harvest Festival. I am still not entirely sure of what I am doing and how I should be doing it. But at least I am enjoying a certain celebrity status at the moment; remembering to smile helps too.

Teaching is fun, and a lot more topical, political, religious, even risqué than I expected. The motivation of those who attend is high. I have no discipline or control issues although the head of faculty has just said she wants me to take a register and will reward attendance so it could go downhill if I have larger, less interested classes.
